More than P270,000 worth of drugs were seized while four suspects were arrested in separate police operations in Bacolod City Thursday, January 14.
First to be arrested was 36-year-old Marc Plary Bayonita, a high-value individual, at Purok Kahirup Village in Barangay Singcang-Airport.
During the 5 a.m. buy-bust operation, Bayonita of Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City yielded six sachets of suspected shabu worth P102,000, and the P500 marked money.
Also arrested in a separate buy-bust operation at Purok Dughan, Barangay 10 were 42-year-old Ana Marie Dacones and 28-year-old Vincent John Martinez, Major Jovil Sedel, head of Police Station 1, said.
Confiscated from their possession were the 12 sachets of suspected shabu worth P54,080, drug paraphernalia, a P200 bill, and the P300 proceeds money.
In another buy-bust operation at Purok Bulak, Barangay Mandalagan, 31-year-old Albert Oñates was arrested by police operatives.
Recovered from his possession were a pack of suspected marijuana inside a zip lock, a suspected marijuana plant, and the P500 marked money.
Police said that confiscated items have an estimated value of P115,600.
The suspects, who are now in police custody, are facing drug charges.*
