‘Our Story’: AAB honors Women’s Month with group exhibition

The Art Association of Bacolod (AAB) launched it’s first group exhibition for this year in partnership with SM City Bacolod at the North Block of SM City Bacolod on Monday,  March 16, that will run through March 22.

Titled “Our Story”, the show is a celebration, not only the beauty of art, but also the creativity, strength, and resilience of women in celebration of International Women’s Month.”Each brushstroke, color, and form in this exhibit tells a story: stories of faith, passion, and perseverance that we hope will inspire all who view them”, AAB said in a press statement.

Guests of honor at the opening Monday was Phoebe David, country president of Association of Business Women in Commerce and Industry (ABWCI), and CEO and founder of Brazaville Beach Resort in Hinobaan.

Also present was May Castro, PR manager of SM City Bacolod.

The exhibition features the works of Juliet Emperado, Konica Faustino, Miriam Bayles, Corazon “Sony” Golez, Mei Lonasco, Pablita Nava, Cora Soriano, Marj Masangkay, Princy Martir, Bamboo Tonogbanua, Fe Sumagaysay, Anette Feria, Annalyn Trespecio, Joesar Garcillan, Alta Vallota,  Sandy Solinap, Flozard Gedalanga, Robert De Aro, Gigi Villamor, Marie Joy Resurreccion, Rommel Clavecillas, Jenevieve Abeto, Marlon Domino, Roanna Ruperto, Rafael “Paeng” Paderna, Leopoldo Bautista, Cresline Corsiga, Alfred Esparcia, Agustin Chavez Jr., Patty Ong, and Chrysee Samillano.

Feria, Golez and Paderna are past presidents of  AAB.*
