
Sales at the five-day 18th Negros Island Organic Farmers Festival, held at the South Capitol Road in Bacolod City, which ended Sunday, Nov. 23, reached P2.8 million, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said on Monday.
The highest sales were recorded on the last day, totaling P789,591, he said.
Daily sales figures were P329,071 on Nov. 19, P417,804 on Nov. 20, P648,492 on Nov. 21, and P634,440 on Nov. 22, Diaz added.
Farmers, fisherfolk and indigenous people exhibitors who joined organic festival thanked Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson and Diaz for their support.
Organizers of the Terra Madre Asia and Pacific food festival, located at the North Capitol Road, did not have an estimate on their five-day sales yet.
The police estimated the crowd that visited the Terra Madre booths from Wednesday to Sunday, Nov. 19 to 23, at 47,500, Reena Gamboa, Terra Madre Asia and Pacific 2025 executive director, said.*
