Task Force Baklas will continue to remove illegal campaign materials of national candidates posted in public places outside of common poster areas, Bacolod Elections Officer Revo Sorbito said Wednesday, March 9.
The Supreme Court issued a Temporary Restraining Order on Tuesday versus the removal of campaign materials that are privately owned and funded solely by volunteers and private citizens that are installed within their private properties.
Sorbito assured that they will comply with the TRO on campaign materials placer in private properties.
Billboards and oversized campaign materials in public places will be removed, he said.
Oplan Baklas operations will continue in Bacolod City on Friday, Sorbito added.*
