
A drinking session between brothers and their brother-in-law turned deadly after an argument led to a shooting incident in Brgy. Magsaysay, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, on Sunday night, Oct. 12.
The police identified the fatality as a 43-year-old man, while his 44-year-old brother remains confined at the Cadiz District Hospital. Both sustained gunshot wounds.
The suspect, a 43-year-old resident of the Brgy Magsaysay, was allegedly shot first by the victims following a heated altercation while they were under the influence of alcohol, the Cadiz City Police Station reported.
.The suspect then retaliated using a .45 caliber pistol, hitting both victims.
Responding policemen immediately conducted a pursuit operation, which resulted in the arrest of the suspect.
The police said old grudges may have been the motive behind the shooting.*
