Old Sagay Elementary School will celebrate its 100th Year anniversary on March 31 alongside its graduation Ceremony, marking a century of service in educating generations of Sagaynons.
The centennial celebration highlights the school’s long-standing contribution to quality basic education and community development in Sagay City.
In preparation for the milestone event, teachers met with Mayor Leo Rafael “Bebo” Cueva on Feb. 24 at the City Mayor’s Office to seek support for the upcoming celebration.
Cueva expressed appreciation for the school’s legacy and assured assistance from the City Government.
The mayor noted that Brgy. Old Sagay, recognized as the original seat of government of the city, holds significant historical and cultural value.
He added that plans are underway to further enhance barangay facilities and emphasized the importance of maintaining the school grounds as a safe, healthy, and conducive learning environment.
Organizers are encouraging alumni of Old Sagay Elementary School to take part in the once-in-a-lifetime centennial celebration honoring the institution’s proud past and continued role in shaping future generations.*
