NOrPPO names allowed, prohibited firecrackers ahead of holidays

The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office reminded the public to use only allowed firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices to ensure a safe and injury-free holiday celebration.

NOrPPO said allowed firecrackers include baby rocket, Judas belt, El Diablo, paper caps, pulling of strings, sky rocket or kwitis, small triangulo, and other locally made firecrackers that are not oversized, overweight, or imported.

Police said allowed pyrotechnic devices include butterfly, fountain, jumbo regular and special, luces, mabuhay, Roman candle, sparklers, trompillo, whistle device, pailaw, and other similar pyrotechnic items.

The public was warned that prohibited firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices include watusi, popup, pla-pla, piccolo, five star, giant bawang, giant whistle bomb, atomic bomb, large-size Judas belt, super lolo, goodbye bading, lolo thunder, atomic triangle, mother rockets;

Goodbye Philippines, goodbye Delima, goodbye Napoles, coke-in-can, bin Laden, pillbox, kabasi, super Yolanda, boga, kwiton, hello Columbia, tuna, GPH nuclear, special, goodbye chismosa, king kong, and dart bomb.

The police also said banned are locally made firecrackers without labels, oversized or overweight fireworks, and imported finished firecracker products.*
