NOCPPO awards nine police stations in Negros

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office awarded nine municipal and city police stations in the province for the most number of search warrants served during their flag raising ceremony at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, on Monday, Feb. 17.

The police stations were recognized for having highest number of served search warrants for violations of Republic Act 10591 or the Guns and Ammunition Regulation Act.

Among the municipal police stations recognized were Valladolid, Murcia, Isabela, Don Salvador Benedicto, and Candoni.

Victorias, Sagay, La Carlota, and Cadiz cities were also awarded in the component city police station category.

NOCPPO also recognized Capt. Thurslie Castillo of the Provincial Intelligence unit for leading the arrest of Oliver Aliligay, the most wanted person in Western Visayas, the press release added.*
