NOCECO restores 90% of  power to substations

The Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative (NOCECO) reported that 90 percent of its substations and 84 percent of  its feeders were energized as of 8 p.m.Thuerday, Nov. 6.

NOCECO said additional feeders have been restored, and crews are now focusing on isolated areas in southern Negros Occidental that remain without electricity.

Some service lines sustained heavy damage from Typhoon “Tino” or are located in flooded and inaccessible areas, making it unsafe to energize them at the moment.

The cooperative assured that repair works will proceed as soon as conditions permit, with restoration activities prioritized based on accessibility and the extent of the damage.

NOCECO also acknowledged reports and messages from consumers, saying these help identify and prioritize affected communities.

The electric cooperative appealed for continued patience and understanding as its teams work around the clock to safely restore power across its coverage areas.*
