The Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative (NOCECO) on Sunday announced a P1.6509 per kilowatt hour (kWh) increase in its power rate for April.
Its electricity rate for April is P15.6104/kWh from P13.9595/kWh in March, it said.
The P1.6509/kWh increase is mainly due to a significant jump in the Generation Charge by P1.2785/kWh and Transmission Charge by P0.3737/kWh, NOCECO said.
While the rates from some of their power suppliers decreased, NOCECO said there was a substantial rise in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market rates.*
