Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative (NOCECO) member-consumers will enjoy a P3.15 per kilowatt-hour drop in their electricity rates in June.
NOCECO said that their electricity rate in June is P14.8015/kWh, which is P3.1594/kWh lower than May’s P17.9609.
The decrease was attributed to the P2.7618/kWh decline in the overall generation charges and the P4.8497/kWh price drop at the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM).
NOCECO also said that they are hopeful that WESM prices will continue to drop as cooler months approach, leading sufficient power supply and potentially lower rates.*
