NOCECO rates down P1.63 per kWH in Oct

The Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative has announced a P1.63 per kilowatt hour decrease in its electricity rates for October.

NOCECO said its electricity rates for the month is P12.9131/kWh, which is P1.6334 lower than last month’s P14.5465/kWh.

The electric cooperative attributed the current rates to the decrease in the prices at the electricity spot market which brought a lower blended generation charge at P6.6117/kWh.

NOCECO is still waiting for the approval of its power supply contract from the Energy Regulatory Commission to help cushion the rate increase in the coming months, its press release said.

Northern Negros Electric Cooperative and Central Negros Electric Cooperative have yet to release their power rates for the month.*
