The Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative announced a P3 decrease per kilowatt-hour in its electricity rates for August, from P16.1134/kWh to P13.0620/kWh.
There is a P3.0514/kWh decrease in their rates driven by the total the generation charge that dropped by P2.5707/kWh compared to July, NOCECO said in a press release.
NOCECO cited the decrease in generation charge by P6.3907/kWh at the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market, from P15.0266 in July to P8.6359/kWh this month.
Palm Concepcion Power Corporation and GNPower Kauswagan also decreased their power cost by P0.0372/kWh and P0.1025/kWh, respectively.
Last week, the Central Negros Electric Cooperative also announced a P2.5077/kWh drop in its power rates in August, from P13.3457/kWh to P10.8380/kWh.
The Northern Negros Electric Cooperative has yet to release its August power rates.*
