There is no need to declare a state of calamity in San Carlos City, Mayor Renato Gustilo said today, January 18.

He said most of the 123 families composed of 477 individuals who evacuated late Saturday amid floods brought on by heavy rains have returned home.

However, the owners of ten houses that were washed away by the flood waters and one house that was damaged are still in evacuation centers.

The San Carlos City government will assist them in rebuilding their homes, he added.

The flood waters hit barangays Rizal, 5 and 1 in San Carlos City.*
