Nine more Bacolod residents found positive for the COVID-19 Delta variant have all recovered from the virus but will undergo new RT-PCR tests, Dr. Chris Sorongon, Emergency Operations Center deputy for medical data and analysis, said Monday, October 18.
He said they were informed Monday that the Philippine Genome Center found seven males and two females positive for COVID-19 based on swab specimens sent September 1 and 2.
The two senior citizens and seven young adults hit by the Delta variant will be locked down in their homes until their new RT-PCR test results are released, he said.
The Delta-hit Bacolod residents are from barangays Granada and Mansilingan – two each, and Alijis, Pahanocoy, Singcang, Villamonte and Taculing – one each, Sorongon said.*
