The 38th Negros Trade Fair at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City earned P9.9 million on its opening night on Tuesday, Arlene Infante, Association of Negros Producers president, said on Thursday, Sept. 19.
The opening night sales of the 37th Negros Trade last year was P7.2 million, Infante said.
They hope to surpass the P46.7 million trade fair sales in 2023 this week, she said.
They are enjoying brisk sales this week, especially in the food section, she said.
The producers are worried that they may run out of goods to sell before the trade fair ends on Sunday, she said.
The products of the Balik Salig communities composed of former rebels were also enjoying brisk sales and bookings, Infante added.*
