
Negros Power is set to enhance electricity reliability and improve service quality for consumers in four areas of Bacolod City on Friday, March 14, through a series of distribution transformer capacity uprates.
This proactive measure aims to address potential overloading issues that could lead to unexpected and widespread power interruptions, ensuring a more stable and consistent standard voltage and power supply for residents, a Press release from Negros Power said Wednesday.
To facilitate these upgrades, Negros Power will be implementing temporary power interruptions in the following areas:
- 8 a.m. to noon: Portion of MF2 – Eroreco Subd., Brgy. Mandalagan, for uprating of 37.5KVA distribution transformer into 75KVA distribution transformer;
- 8:a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Portion of AF1 – Florenceville, Brgy. Tangub, for uprating the 25KVA common distribution transformer into a 50KVA distribution transformer and replacing the primary wooden pole with a 40ft concrete pole;
- 8 a.m. to noon: Portion of AF1 – Ramylu DR, Brgy. Tangub, for uprating of 25KVA distribution transformer into 50KVA distribution transformer; and
- 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM: Portion of AF8 – Phase 5, Brgy. Handumanan, for uprating of 15KVA common distribution transformer into 50KVA distribution transformer.
These upgrades are part of Negros Power’s comprehensive 5-year rehabilitation and modernization plan, a commitment to delivering a more reliable and efficient power system, the press release said.
By investing in infrastructure improvements and addressing potential issues proactively, Negros Power is working to ensure that consumers experience a more stable and consistent power supply, free from unexpected disruptions, it said.
