Negros Power rates drop by 55 centavos in June

The Negros Power and Electric Corp. electricity rates are down 55 centavos per kilowatt-hour (kWh) this June.

For this month’s billing cycle, residential consumers will pay only ₱11.14 per kWh, a significant drop from ₱11.69 per kWh last month, a Negros Power statement said Monday, June 16.

This means a household consuming 200 kWh per month can expect to save around ₱110, providing extra funds for groceries, school expenses, or other essentials, it said.

“This rate adjustment is part of our ongoing commitment to ease the financial strain on our consumers,” the Negros Power statement said.

“We understand the daily realities families face — and we’re doing our part to help lighten the load,” it said.

“This month’s lower rates result from strategic and efficient energy management of Negros Power,” it said.

“The ongoing line rehabilitation and system upgrades are likewise producing tangible benefits. The feeder loss rate improved to 8.03 percent from 8.28 percent last month, indicating that infrastructure investments enhance operational efficiency and reduce unnecessary power losses, contributing to overall cost reductions,” it said.

June 2025 commercial rates during Low Voltage are ₱11.18/kW and High Voltage – ₱10.09/kWh, it said.

Negros Power reaffirms its promise to be more than just an electricity provider, the statement said.

“At Negros Power, we understand the pressure on household budgets — that’s why we’re working non-stop to provide reliable, affordable power for every home and business,” the company added.

“We’re here to power your homes and support your lives”, it said.

As the company continues to improve its services and implement more innovative power management strategies, consumers can expect more efficient and customer-centered solutions in the months ahead, it added.*
