The Negros Occidental Provincial Development Council approved Wednesday, December 9, the allocation of P31.7 million for the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) signing bonus of the Capitol employees, which will be submitted to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for action, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said today, December 10.

The PDC approved a supplemental annual investment plan to include the fund allocation for the CNA signing bonus, Diaz said.

Diaz said the amount of the signing bonus to be given to the provincial government employees has yet to be announced by Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson.

Lacson and the Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees president Renelo Lastierre signed a three-year CNA on December 3, that guarantees incentives for the 3,200 Capitol employees this December.

“By signing the Collective Negotiation Agreement, all Capitol employees, both management and rank and file, will receive CNA incentives, in recognition of their efforts and accomplishing performance targets,” Lacson said.

The governor has committed to give the maximum incentive allowed of P25,000 depending on the availability of savings, Diaz said earlier.

Diaz said they are computing the savings of the provincial government so the incentives can be given as soon as possible.*
