Negros Open Chess Champions named

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the awarding ceremony of the champions of this year’s Negros Open Chess Championship, held at the Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City, Saturday, October 30.

The winners are Lorenzo Mark Raffaele of Kabankalan City (10 boys), Summer Ellaine Abanco of Bacolod City (10 girls), Christian Pelione of Bacolod City (13 boys), Jasmine Tanizin Mijares of Bacolod City (13 girls), Clark Ken Pelione of Bacolod City (19 boys), Arnie Joanne Suravilla of Bacolod City (19 girls), Amalio Bayot of Sagay City (open category), and Joshua Panes of Pontevedra (25 boys).

Leo Romitman is the tournament manager.

The activity is spearheaded by the Provincial Sports Office led by Anthony Carlo Agustin, Executive Assistant to the Governor and Provincial Sports Coordinator.*
