The Negros Occidental provincial government is providing P2 million in assistance to two Typhoon “Rolly” hit areas, Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said today, November 16.
The provincial government will provide P1 million each to typhoon-hit Albay and Catanduanes, he said.
The provincial government has yet to decide on the amount to be given to Typhoon “Ulysses” hit areas such as Cagayan other devastated areas, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported that as of Nov. 15, “Ulysses” had affected 1.75 million people in Regions I (Ilocos), II (Cagayan), III (Central Luzon), CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), V (Bicol), National Capital Region and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).*
