The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council conferred the Gawad KALASAG (Kalamidad at Sakuna Labanan, Sariling Galing ang Kaligtasan) Seal of Excellence award on the province of Negros Occidental on Wednesday, December 7.
Zeaphard Gerhart Caelian, Negros Occidental Provincial Disaster Management Program Division head, and Project Development Officer Irene Bel Ploteña received the award during the Gawad KALASAG National Awarding Ceremony at the Manila Hotel.
Negros Occidental garnered a rating of 2.48 in the Gawad KALASAG Seal for Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils and Offices category for 2022.*
