Negros Island Film Festival now accepting entries

The Sine Negrense: Negros Island Film Festival is now accepting entries for its upcoming festival.

The festival, which will be held on the last week of November 2023, aims to showcase the best independent films from Negros Island.

The festival is open to all filmmakers who are residents of Negros Island or have produced a film that was shot on the island.

The festival accepts films of any genre, including narrative, documentary, animation, and experimental.

“We are excited to see the creativity and talent of Negros Island’s filmmakers,” Festival Director, Banjo Hinolan said.

“Our goal is to provide a platform for these filmmakers to showcase their work and to promote the local film industry”, he added,

All submitted films will be judged by a panel of industry professionals, and the winning films will receive cash prizes and the opportunity to be screened at other film festivals around the country.

The submission deadline is Oct. 1, 2023.

To submit a film, filmmakers must complete the online entry form and provide a link to their film.
