The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office has arrested 77 wanted persons during its seven-day manhunt operations from Oct. 7 to 13, the Police Regional Office-6 reported.
PRO-6 said that the Western Visayas police arrested 190 wanted persons in the weeklong operations with 34 most wanted and 156 other wanted persons.
NOCCPO arrested 8 most wanted and 69 other wanted persons, the highest among other police units in the region.
The accused are now under police custody and will be turned over to the court.
“We deeply appreciate and commend the support provided by the community in our effort against wanted persons. With their information, we reached this number of arrests,” PRO-6 Director, BGen. Jack Wanky, said.*
