The number of registered voters in Negros Occidental dropped from 2,014,725 in the 2023 barangay elections to 2,009,564 for the 2025 mid-term polls, Commission on Elections data released Wednesday, Oct. 30, showed.
Ian Lee Ananoria, Comelec provincial elections supervisor, attributed the drop by 5,161 voters or .25 percent to persons who were purged from the list for failing to vote in two previous consecutive elections and to those who transferred to areas outside of Negros Occidental.
The registered voters in Bacolod City that has the largest voting population in Negros Occidental have increased from 340,098 in 2023 to 356,814 for 2025, or by 16,716 (4.9 percent).
Kabakalan City has the second highest number of registered voters at 110,775 followed by Bago City at 103,683.
Among the Negros Occidental registered voters for 2025, there are more females at 1,025,698 compared to 983,866 males.
There are also more female voters in Bacolod City with 188,652 compared to 168,162 males.
The number of registered voters in the First District is 258,527, Second District – 212,939, Third District – 318,496, Fourth District – 248,782, Fifth District – 302,714 and Sixth District – 311,292.*
