The P6,457,539,794 proposed 2025 Annual Budget of Negros Occidental has been submitted by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for review, Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer said on Thursday, Oct. 17.
The proposed 2025 budget is P1,022,895,094 or 18.82 percent higher than the P5,434,644,700 budget for 2024.
The SP received the proposed 2025 budget on Tuesday and it will be scheduled for deliberation by the Committee on Finance. Ferrer said.
The SP aims to pass the budget by the first week of December.
The proposed budget sets P6,203,085,130 for the General Fund and P254,454,664 for the Economic Enterprise Development Department, a special account under the General Fund.
“The 2025 Executive Budget reflects the administration’s continued commitment to fully realizing our 7-Point Development Agenda…It has been carefully crafted to guide us in our pursuit for sustained progress and development, with focus on achieving a Negrense-brand of good governance and growth, “ the governor said in his letter endorsing the budget to the SP.
Meanwhile, the proposed 2025 budget for Bacolod City is P4.4 billion.*
