NegOcc dengue deaths now 16, cases up 322.3%, PHO reports

The dengue related deaths in Negros Occidental this year have increased to 16 with one new fatality reported by the Provincial Health Office on Friday, Nov. 7.

The PHO has recorded 5,528 dengue cases in Negros Occidental from January 1 to November 2, which are 322.33 percent higher than the 1,309 cases in the same period last year.

The 11 to 20 years old age group was the most affected by dengue, the report said.

Bago City still had the highest number of dengue cases recorded at 644 followed by San Carlos City – 424, Hinoba-an – 405, Sagay City – 345, Talisay City – 338, Kabankalan City – 333, Silay City – 330, Cauayan – 329, Cadiz City – 301 and Sipalay City – 277.*
