NegOcc COVID-19 deaths 10 this year, Lacson says

Negros Occidental recorded ten COVID-19 related deaths in 2023, Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson said Friday, April 28.

Many of the fatalities were unvaccinated, Lacson said.

“The situation is not alarming but even just one death is not good”, he said.

Negros Occidental also had eight new COVID-19 cases on Friday for a total of 89 active cases.

Bacolod City had 13 deaths since the start of 2023, six of which were in April, Dr. Laarni Pornan, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office head, told DIGICAST NEGROS on Thursday.

Bacolod also has 17 new COVID-19 cases on Friday for a total of 65 active cases.*
