The Victorias City Primary Care Facility (PCF) in Negros Occidental is utilizing the advanced remote electrocardiogram (ECG) technology to further strengthen healthcare services.

Mayor Abelardo Bantug III said on Monday, July 13, that the city government now owns a Tricog VCardia 12-channel electrocardiogram (ECG) machine donated by private partner Elan Vita Diagnostic Solutions.

“This state-of-the-art, ultra-lightweight digital ECG machine will significantly enhance our local healthcare capabilities by providing accurate and timely cardiac diagnostics,” Bantug said in a Facebook post.

Victorias City is the first local government unit in Negros Island Region to adopt the artificial intelligence (AI)-powered cardiac care platform, utilizing this specific advanced remote ECG model.

ECG data is transmitted from local clinics to the Tricog Cloud, where an AI engine provides a suggestive diagnosis verified by a remote team of cardiologists, sending the final report to medical workstations and mobile phones within minutes.

On Monday, the Victorias City PCF announced the integration of the Tricog VCardia VC100 into its diagnostic services.

“The remote digital electrocardiograph allows the city’s healthcare team to conduct localized testing with instant, secure data transmission. Through cloud-integrated clinical analysis, the facility can now receive certified, official medical readings within minutes,” it added.

As such, patient waiting times are drastically reduced and the need for immediate travel to tertiary hospitals for basic cardiac screening is minimized.

“This ensures rapid, data-driven clinical decisions when time is most critical,” the Victorias City PCF said.

Donor Elan Vita Diagnostic Solutions is headed by its president and chief executive officer Keith Buyco, who also serves as the president of the Don Bosco Alumni Association Victorias Chapter.

“The Tricog VCardia 12-channel ECG machine is helping our medical professionals deliver faster and more efficient care to Victoriasanons. Partnerships such as these demonstrate how collaboration between the local government and the private sector can create meaningful and lasting benefits for our community,” Bantug said.*PNA
