Negros Occidental and Bacolod City government employees will receive their performance based bonuses (PBB) soon.
Bacolod City employees who qualify for the PBB will receive 65 percent of their basic pay, City Administrator Mark Mayo said.
Bacolod City has received a memorandum from the Department of the Interior and Local Government stating that the city is qualified to provide PBB to employees for Fiscal Year 2023, he said.
Mayo said the City Budget Office will determine who is eligible to receive it.
Some will also receive a pro-rated bonus based on their length of service, Mayo said.
Meanwhile, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz, said that the Negros Occidental provincial employees are also eligible for the PBB.
The only deficiency of the province is compliance with the ARTA certificate filing, he said, adding that will just have to comply.
The province will proceed with the processing of supplemental budget for the PBB. This is 50 percent of the basic monthly salary of permanent and casual employees, he said.
The request for the supplemental budget for the PBB will be submitted to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan next week, Diaz said.*
