Neg. Occ. girls softball seniors team wins 1st two games at World Series in Delaware

It was a back-to-back  win for the Negros Occidental Girls Softball Seniors Team who are off to a good start  of the World Series in Delaware, USA.

The team won its first two  games in the World Series, Anthony Carlo Agustin, Negros Occidental Provincial Sports Coordinator, said Wednesday, August 3

Negrense pitcher Joy Alpitche of Hinoba-an gave their opponents a hard time with her power-packed pitch that caused their opponents and spectators to shake their heads in amazement, a press release said.

It was an unexpected victory in the second game played as the team just took a 30-minute break from the first game.

The Negros Occidental girls team are representing the Philippines and the Asia Pacific as the regional winner.

It was the provincial government headed by Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson that supported the preparation of the softball team and sent them to Delaware, the press release said.*
