The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Bacolod, which is investigating Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) flood control projects, is launching an “Isumbong mo sa NBI” campaign.
The campaign will allow the public to provide information or feedback to the NBI on flood control projects in the province through Messenger, Viber, and WhatsApp, NBI Bacolod Chief Manuel Fayre Jr. said on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
Details of the “Isumbong mo sa NBI” campaign will be announced, he added.
The heads of the six DPWH engineering districts in Negros Occidental have asserted that there are no ghost flood control projects in the province, which the NBI will validate, Fayre said.
All six district engineers have already submitted the documents sought by the NBI for flood control projects they implemented from 2022 to 2025, he confirmed.
The NBI is now in the process of reconciling the submitted documents with those that the bureau already has, Fayre added.*
