
A 37-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run traffic accident along Araneta Street in Brgy. Pahanocoy, Bacolod City early Saturday morning, Jan. 10.
The victim was identified as Emilrod Tiangson, a resident of Brgy. 13, Bacolod City, who was driving a Euro Keeway 152 motorcycle.
Police said the crash happened at around 3 a.m. in front of Manville Royale Subdivision.
Responding traffic investigators found the victim lying on the road beside his motorcycle with no signs of life.
Personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection confirmed that the victim had no pulse upon arrival.
Initial police investigation showed that the motorcycle was traveling southbound when it allegedly collided with the rear of an unidentified truck.
A security guard in the area told police that the truck did not stop after the collision and continued heading south.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the police said.
The body was brought to a funeral home for proper disposition as authorities continue efforts to identify the truck and its driver.*
