A 32-year-old motorcycle rider died after his motorcycle crashed into a coconut tree at the national highway in Brgy. Luna, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, early Thursday morning, February 5.
Police identified the victim as alias “JR,” a married resident of Brgy. Sicaba, Cadiz, who was driving a Yamaha Sniper at the time of the incident.
The Cadiz police said the accident happened at around 12:15 a.m. in Hacienda Omapog while the victim was traveling from Cadiz City proper toward Brgy. Burgos.
The motorcycle driver lost control upon reaching a curved portion of the road and slammed into a coconut tree along the roadside, the police said.
The rider sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Cadiz District Hospital where he was pronounced dead.*
