Motorcycle driver injured in hit-and-run incident

A motorcycle driver was injured in a hit-and-run incident involving a car in Brgy. Mandalagan, Bacolod City, early Friday, March 27.

The police identified the victim as Diomedes Genobia Jr., a resident of Brgy. Dulao, Bago City, who was driving a Honda Click motorcycle.

Police investigation revealed that the motorcycle collided with a gray Volkswagen in front of a subdivision gate along Lacson Street at approximately 1:30 a.m.

Authorities said that the victim fell onto the concrete road, sustaining injuries to his forehead and collarbone. He was immediately transported to a hospital.

Witnesses claimed the driver of the car appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. A security guard reportedly attempted to stop the vehicle, but the suspect fled toward the south.

The police are currently conducting follow-up operations to identify and locate the driver.*
