Most courts at the Bacolod Hall of Justice will be closed Friday, February 4, during the conduct of the 2020/2021 bar examinations at the University of Saint La Salle in Bacolod City, Executive Judge Raymond Joseph Javier of the Bacolod Regional Trial Court, said.
That is because some judges and court personnel volunteered to be proctors during the examinations on Friday and Sunday, February 6, he said.
The closure of some courts is pursuant to Memorandum Order 14-2022 of Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo, Javier said.
The courts that will remain open are Regional Trial Court Branches 45, 47, 50 and 51, Javier added.
This is the first time the bar examinations will be held using computers and outside Metro Manila, he added.
The 2020/2021 Bar Examinations is chaired by Supreme Court Associate Justice Marvic Leonen.*
