More than 20 casual employees of the Negros Occidental provincial government have been recommended for non-renewal of contracts in 2024, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said on Monday, Dec. 11.

Their department heads made their recommendations based on their performances, he said.

Job order (JO) and contract of service (COS) workers who performed well will be recommended for promotions, Diaz also said.

JOs will be upgraded to COS workers, he said.

COS workers who performed well will also be upgraded to casuals, he added.

Meanwhile, Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson will announce the additional bonuses and benefits for the provincial government employees during the switch on of the Christmas lights at the Capitol Park and Lagoon in Bacolod City on Wednesday, December 13, Diaz said.

The provincial government Christmas Party and birthday of the governor will also be held on Wednesday.

Diaz said the productivity enhancement incentive of P5, 000 for each provincial government employee is now being processed.

Lacson will also announce an increase in the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) bonus of the employees that is currently at P25,000 each, Diaz said.

The COS and JO workers will also receive gratuity pay and gift packs, he added.*
