More schools okayed for F2F classes,  Valladolid topnotcher

The Department of Education (DepEd) has approved 13 more schools for limited face-to-face (F2F) classes in Negros Occidental and six in Bacolod City.

Valladolid town is the first local government unit in the province to have all its schools approved for limited F2F classes, Ian Arnold Arnaez, Negros Occidental Schools Division spokesperson, said Wednesday, April 6.

There are 24 schools in the division with ongoing F2F classes and the 13 approved on April 5 may start after Holy Week, he said.

The 13 are Alijis Elementary School, Ayungon Elementary School, Batuan Elementary School, Emilio Infante Elementary School, La Castellana National High School-JHS, La Castellana National High School-SHS, Ma. Palacios Presbitero Elementary School, Mananawin Elementary School, Manghanoy National High School, Negros Occidental High School, Pacol Elementary School, Tabao Elementary School and Valladolid Elementary School.

There are also 12 other schools in the division being evaluated for F2F classes, Arnaez said.

With the improving COVID-19 situation in the country, DepEd, upon the approval of the President, started the progressive implementation of the limited F2F classes, he said.

In Bacolod among the six schools approved for F2F classes are the Rafaal Alunan Elementary School and the University of Saint La Salle Integrated School.

There are 18 schools in Bacolod City being evaluated by the DepEd for F2F classes.*
