A fisherman who was reported missing for two days was found floating at sea and was brought to shore in Purok Bolinao, Barangay 1, Bacolod City, on Friday afternoon, Jan. 30.
Police identified the victim as Gelmar Gerale, 44, a resident of Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City.
A Bacolod Police Station 2 report said the victim went missing after he went fishing.
Authorities said another fisherman spotted the victim floating at sea between the Guimaras and Negros islands.
Police said the victim was entangled in a fishing net and was immediately brought to the shore.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of death.*
