A 5-year-old girl from Talisay City, Negros Occidental, who went missing was finally rescued in Bacolod City Monday night, July 1.
Her family’s call for help in finding her went vital on social media on Monday.
She was rescued by the police, barangay, and Department of Social Services Development (DSSD) personnel of Talisay City at La Salle Avenue in Bacolod City from two minors and an adult, who allegedly took her.
The family of the victim, in a Facebook post, said she was last seen about 1 p.m. Monday.
Another post said the victim was seen at the Bacolod City Public Plaza. She was finally rescued near a fast-food restaurant at La Salle Avenue.
DSSD-Talisay Head Dionela Madrona said that the victim has already been returned to her family and they will assist them in filing a case against the three individuals.
The suspects could face abduction charges, she said.
The DSSD will conduct a psychological evaluation and intervention for the victim, Madrona said.*
