The iconic miniature Christmas village of Bamboo Tonogbanua in Bacolod City turns 28 years old this December and has new surprises for visitors.

It has undergone new zoning work this year with some of its sub villages representing various parts of the world repositioned for better viewing, he said.

The Amsterdam village has been elevated to give a better view of iconic European sites beneath it and a new railway has been installed.

The Beauty and the Beast palace has new additions along with the rest of the fairly land.

New slopes have been created for the Tour de France riders, and more dancers have joined the Mariachi bands in the Mexican village.

The rickshaw driver in Chinatown has tired of work and now sleeps on a bench.

The circus has joined the section of the village that has numerous carnival rides, and a new royal marching band is in residence.

The Christmas tree at the center also has new villages in it.

The village with its various sounds and scenes of Christmas will definitely bring holiday cheer to visitors, which is a goal Tonogbanua aims for every year.

The miniature village at No. 90 San Juan Street in Bacolod City will be open to the public starting 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on December 16 for the Christmas season.*
