Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson and Board Member Jeffrey Tubola distributed P458,000 in medical and burial cash assistance to residents of the sixth district of Negros Occidental Monday, May 17.
The distribution was held at the Brgy. Talubangi Covered Court in Kabankalan City, a Capitol press release said.
The Sixth District is composed of the cities of Kabankalan and Sipalay, and the towns of Ilog, Cauayan, Candoni, and Hinoba-an.
Lacson thanked Tubola for initiating valuable projects that directly benefit his constituents in southern Negros.
He also urged everyone to get vaccinated against COVID-19 once the vaccines become available in their barangays, as it is the best solution to combat the present pandemic.
Also present in the activity were Kabankalan City Mayor Pedro Zayco Jr. and other local officials.
Strict health protocols were implemented at the activity.
