Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez hopes revenues in this year’s MassKara Festival will be close or even exceed the P5 billion earned in 2022.

The report he received is that the receipted transactions in the first half of the festival this year have already reached P2.8 billion, Benitez said.

He said with all of Bacolod City’s hotels fully booked for the MassKara highlight week he expects the festival revenues to further increase.

The figure could even be higher as other revenues are unrecorded, Benitez said.

Meanwhile, the Masskara Music Festival along the Lacson Tourism Strip will be held from Thursday to Sunday, October 19 to 22, Von Maungca, Bacolod Yuhum Foundation team leader on Marketing Promotions and Interagency Concerns, said.

There will be six stages at the Lacson Tourism Strip, the biggest of which is the Sunset Stage at the North Capitol Road, he said.

There will be OPM bands performing from the October 19 to 21 and on October 22 Popstar Royalty Sara Geronimo will perform, Maungca added.*
