President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will be in Negros on Friday, Feb. 21, Bacolod Councilor Al Victor Espino said on Tuesday.
The president will join the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial candidates at a campaign rally at the Victorias City Coliseum in Negros Occidental, he said.
The rally was initially set at the Paglaum Sports Stadium in Bacolod City where a bigger crowd could be accommodated but was moved to the Victorias City Coliseum because there is a 75 percent chance of rain on Friday, Espino said.
All 12 senatorial bets under the administration’s alliance are expected to join the rally.
They are Reps. Erwin Tulfo and Camille Villar; re-electionist senators Francis Tolentino, Lito Lapid, Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Pia Cayetano, and Imee Marcos; Makati Mayor Abby Binay; former senators Manny Pacquiao, Tito Sotto, and Panfilo Lacson; and former interior secretary Benhur Abalos.
The president is expected to be flying in from Negros Oriental where an Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas rally will also be held.*
