The Rotary Club of Bacolod-Marapara recently added two new members to its ranks.
Murcia Vice Mayor Johnny Reosura and Leah Tinsay, president of Tri Castle International Inc., were inducted into the club by its president, Virgil Rupert “Igie” Villarosa, in a ceremony held at the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club in Bacolod City.
“I’m delighted to welcome Johnny and Leah to our club,” said Villarosa.
“They’re no strangers to Rotary, having recently worked with us and members of the Rotary Club of Kyoto-Fushimi on a project to fund medical equipment for the benefit of the people of Murcia through a Rotary Global Grant,” he said.
“From my experience working with both individuals, I am convinced I had the honor of inducting two future leaders of our club”, Villarosa added.
The Rotary Club of Bacolod-Marapara undertakes many community outreach activities each year including medical missions, coastal clean-ups, feeding programs, school supplies, computer literacy programs, mangrove planting and support for Eco-tourism projects, a press release from the club said.*
