Absentee voters can only vote for a president, vice president, 12 senators, and one party-list group using manual ballots.

The Commission on Elections-approved local absentee voters have until Friday, April 29 to vote, Negros Occidental Acting Provincial Elections Supervisor, Roberto Salazar said.

Among the absentee voters are two members of the media in Bacolod City, and soldiers, policemen, firemen, personnel of the Commission on Elections, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Education and some local government units, a list furnished by Salazar showed.

Among those on the list of absentee voters are 1,753 Philippine National Police and 38 Bureau of Fire Protection personnel.
Meanwhile, Salazar said the more than 1.9 million ballots for Negros Occidental were arriving Wednesday night, April 27.

The ballots will be unloaded from container vans at the Negros Occidental Food Terminal on Thursday for sorting and distribution to the local government units, Salazar said.*
