Manila-based bands to perform at Panaad sa Negros Festival 

Manila-based bands Mayonnaise, Dilaw, and Mitoy and the Draybers will perform at the seven-day Panaad sa Negros Festival at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City on April 15 to 21. 

With less than 10 days before the celebration of the provincial festival, the Negros Occidental Provincial Government released the schedule of various  talks, programs, concerts, and competitions joined by representatives from 32 towns and cities. 

Prior to the festival proper, pre-pageant activities of the  Lin-ay sang Negros will be held on April 12 for the  press presentation and talent competition, and April 14 for  the  festival costume competition at the  Ayala Capitol Central Bacolod event center. 

During the  festival opening on  April 15 the  ribbon cutting ceremonies of the Livelihood and Food Security Fair, Food Alley, Livestock and Dairy Fair Exhibit, and MUAD and PGNO Abanse Trade Fair, as well as the opening of all themed-pavilions of the local government units in the province will be held. 

In the afternoon the Grand Opening Ceremony, Best of Festival Dances Competition, “Pa Concert ni Gov” with band Mayonnaise, and a fireworks display will be held. 

On Day 2 of the festivities will be highlighted by the Preliminary Q&A and Corporate Awards of the  Lin-ay sang Negros, Komposo and Drumbeating Competition, and Coke Night with the Mattres band held at Ayala Mall, Panaad Stadium, and Panaad Park Stage, respectively. 

The 2nd MLBB: Governor’s Cup E-sports Competition, Folk Dance Competition, Ching Orchestra concert, and “Pa Concert ni Gov” featuring Dilaw band will be held at the stadium, while the ribbon cutting ceremony of the Visual Arts Competition at the Robinson’s Place Bacolod will be held on April 17. 

Best Festival Costume, Latin Dance Sports, and Chorale Competition will be held on Day 4 on April 18 at Panaad, while the Governor’s Night will be held at the Nature’s Village Resort in Talisay City. 

Day 5, April 19, Friday, will be highlighted by the coronation night of the Lin-ay sang Negros at the Panaad Stadium participated by 29 candidates and the Fiel: World Class Concerto at the Negros Museum. 

Panaad ULTRA: Pop Culture and Cosplay, Tourism Officer’s Night, 2nd Panaad KPOP Flex, Pop Dance Competition, and the Media Night will be held on the 6th day of the Panaad Festival on April 20. 

On the last day on April 21, the  Closing and Awarding Ceremony will be held and the “Pa Concert ni Gov” featuring Mitoy and the Draybers, Limuel Llanes and Stiryo Band with Human Saxophone Chito Ricafrente and Kit Inciong, and a fireworks display will be held.*
