A 44-year-old man died after he was stabbed in Brgy. Bata, Bacolod City on Tuesday night, March 3.
Police identified the victim as Ian Carl Dela Cruz, a resident of Purok Sawmill 2 in the same barangay.
The incident happened at around 8:10 p.m. along an alley in Purok Sawmill and operatives from Police Station 3 responded to the stabbing report minutes later.
Police investigation showed that the victim was walking along the alley when the suspect suddenly stabbed him for still unknown reasons before fleeing the scene.
The suspect was identified as Reynold Ison, also known as “Nonoy Alog,” a resident of Purok Sawmill 3, Brgy. Bata.
The victim was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment but later died from his injuries.
Police have launched a hot pursuit operation to arrest the suspect.*
