The police said the suspect, identified as alias “John” and also known as “PMAJ Calsado”, was wanted for 16 counts of robbery extortion amounting to P700,000.
The operation was carried out at around 12:45 p.m. outside the Days Inn Hotel at Golden Field in Brgy. Singcang-Airport.
Joint operatives from the City Intelligence Unit of Bacolod City Police Office together with Regional Intelligence Unit–NIR, Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group-NIR, City Drug Enforcement Unit, and Police Station 8, executed the entrapment.
Investigators said the operation stemmed from complaints alleging that the suspect had been extorting money while falsely presenting himself as a police major.

A cellphone and a Mitsubishi Mirage were also seized.
The suspect, a resident of Koronadal City in South Cotabato, is now detained at the Bacolod City Police Office.
