A 22-year-old man was arrested after he was accused of raping an 11-year-old girl in Barangay Gargato, Hinigaran, in Negros Occidental on Monday, September 12.
Lt. Col. Necerato Sabando, Hinigaran police chief, said the suspect barged into the victim’s room and pointed a knife at her.
He allegedly threatened to kill the victim if she did not follow what he wanted her to do.
The suspect was immediately arrested.
The police said the man was courting the minor-victim.
He is currently detained by the police and a case of rape has been filed against him.*
